KUCHING: According to Kuching South mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng, Sarawak’s stability and bright prospects are drawing investors to the state. He noted the influx of new investments as evidence of this trend.
Wee attributed the attractiveness of Sarawak as an investment destination to its stable government and promising future. He also commended Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg for effectively promoting Sarawak on the international stage.
On Wednesday (Jan 31), Wee spoke to reporters after officiating the opening of a new furniture store in Kuching. He highlighted the significance of a Chinese company choosing to invest in Sarawak through the new outlet.
Describing the store as an example of foreign direct investment in the state, Wee expressed satisfaction with the introduction of a new concept in furniture supply, encompassing design, installation, and finishing works.
Encouraging unity among Sarawakians, Wee urged the community to appreciate the state’s stability and work together towards propelling Sarawak to greater success. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing the state into a new era of prosperity.
