In Melaka, a security guard has been arrested for sexually assaulting his young stepdaughters over a period of five years, with the assaults escalating to rape late last year. Melaka deputy police chief Senior Asst Comm Md Nazri Nawawi stated that the suspect victimized the sisters, who are now 13 and 15 years old, since they were in primary school.
According to SAC Md Nazri, the suspect began molesting the sisters while their 39-year-old mother was running her burger stall at Kampung Lereh in Tanjong Kling. He also mentioned that the victims revealed their ordeal to their mother when she was at home on Tuesday (Jan 9).
He reported, “The girls told her that their stepfather started molesting them when they were in primary school and raped them between the end of last year up to Jan 2.” SAC Md Nazri also stated that the older girl was raped four times and her younger sister, once; however, they hid their ordeal from their mother for years out of fear.
“The couple got married seven years ago,” he added.
The suspect was detained at his workplace on Tuesday (Jan 9) and remanded until next Tuesday (Jan 16) to help with investigations under Section 376 (3) of the Penal Code for rape.
