Police found more than 6kg of marijuana during a car inspection on Jalan Kalumpang in Petaling Jaya.
Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim announced on Thursday (Feb 8) that the inspection was carried out at around 8.20pm on Feb 7 after prior surveillance.
Two men, aged 31 and 43, were arrested and seven compressed packets of marijuana were seized.
The drugs, weighing 6.28kg, are estimated to be worth RM22,000.
One of the suspects had a prior record for narcotic offenses.
“Urine tests conducted on both men were positive for marijuana,” said Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim.
“They have been remanded for seven days until Feb 14,” he added.
