The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, emphasized the importance of unity among all races in Selangor to achieve a stronger and more progressive state. He urged Malaysians to be more tolerant of each other to maintain social harmony in the region.

The Sultan highlighted the need for cooperation among diverse racial and religious groups in Selangor for development and progress. He warned against prejudice and emphasized the importance of fostering tolerance to preserve societal harmony.

During the inauguration of the Damansara Perdana Mosque, Sultan Sharafuddin stressed that disunity and division among people can impede a nation’s progress and achievements. He called on all political leaders to unite people of different races and religions and avoid issues that could cause division.

The Sultan urged political leaders to brainstorm strategies for fostering unity, including using social media platforms to promote respect and understanding among people. He also advised Muslims in Selangor to avoid negative traits like cheating, complaining, and slander, especially on social media.

Sultan Sharafuddin cautioned against individuals using religion, position, and popularity to divide Muslims. He advised Muslims to discern true religious scholars from those using religion for personal gain. The Sultan expressed pride in the unity among Malay Muslims during the fasting month and encouraged them to continue promoting unity and harmony.

In conclusion, Sultan Sharafuddin called for Muslims to engage in charitable deeds at the end of the fasting month and live according to the teachings of the Quran. He extended warm wishes for Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all in Selangor, along with forgiveness and reconciliation.
