PETALING JAYA: Amanah Youth chief Hasbie Muda has issued a public apology after his car was pictured parked illegally on a sidewalk.
The image caused a stir on social media and Hasbie said, in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), that he would take full responsibility.
“As the owner of the vehicle, I regretfully apologise for what happened and will take full responsibility.
“I regret any inconvenience (the action caused) and am willing to be compounded.
“I promise this will not happen again,” he said in his post.
Hasbie was replying to a post by an X user that showed a car with a Parliament crest parked on a pedestrian walkway in Kuala Lumpur.
The X user had questioned why a parliamentarian did not park in a paid car park.
