Three policemen, including a high-ranking officer, have been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in Muar, Johor. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain confirmed the arrests and stated that more information about the case would be provided by Johor’s police chief. He also urged the public to seek details from Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat, the Johor police chief.
Additionally, Datuk Seri Azri Ahmad, the director of the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS), stated that JIPS will initiate an investigation into the arrests made by the MACC. The specific reasons for the arrests have not been disclosed at this time.
