NIBONG TEBAL: With less than 24 hours to go until polling day, Pakatan Harapan has been warned not to offer rewards or gifts to people to gain votes in the Sungai Bakap by-election.
PAS central committee member Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim said the ruling coalition can do whatever they want, but if the intention or purpose is to bribe for votes, their actions will not be forgiven.
“You might be happy at first, but if the intention or purpose is to bribe for votes, Allah The Almighty knows,” he said.

The Arau MP reminded Pakatan that Allah is watching all their actions and warned the ruling coalition not to do things in secret.
“Remember, Allah is watching,” he said.

Earlier Shahidan attended the grand finale ceramah at Taman Widuri here on Thursday (July 4) night.
The grand finale was also attended by some 3000 PAS and Perikatan Nasional members and supporters.

People converged at the housing area from as early as 7pm, not wanting to miss a good spot for them to hang out while listening to the top guns of Perikatan.
The fiesta-like ceramah lined up several big names from the opposition coalition such as former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin and Gerakan president Datuk Dominic Lau.

A big crowd during a PAS ceramah is a norm in the Malay heartland states like Kedah and Kelantan but in Penang, it is a sign of Perikatan especially PAS flexing its muscle as the polling day approaches.
The July 6 by-election will witness a straight fight between Pakatan candidate Dr Joohari Ariffin and Perikatan Nasional’s Abidin Ismail, following the demise of the incumbent Nor Zamri Latiff on May 24.
