Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Hermono, has confirmed that the politician accused of abusing an Indonesian maid has already been blacklisted by Indonesia. Hermono stated that in addition to being blacklisted, the politician must also provide proof that he applied for the maid’s permit and paid her the alleged dues. The maid has also claimed that her passport is with her previous employer. Hermono emphasized that the investigation will proceed. Furthermore, it is mentioned that harbouring or hiring an illegal worker is considered an offense under Malaysian laws.
