SIBU police have been instructed to investigate each complaint received from the public and not neglect their duties.

Sibu OCPD Asst Comm Zulkipli Suhaili said that it is crucial for the investigating officers to handle each case with integrity in order to prevent community dissatisfaction with the quality of police work.

He emphasized that these officers must equip themselves with legal skills and be well-versed in the standard operating procedures to overcome any shortcomings and negligence in conducting their inquiries.

Furthermore, ACP Zulkipli stated that it is essential to avoid giving the community or any specific group a reason to criticize the police due to a lack of confidence in their abilities.

The level of community satisfaction serves as an important measure of the quality of police services as a whole, and therefore, all members of the police force must consistently deliver excellent and high-quality service to the public, whether they are out on the field or attending to complaints at the counter.

He urged all members of the Sibu police to collaborate in ensuring that the quality of service aligns with the force’s theme, which emphasizes the inseparable relationship between the police and society.

Additionally, ACP Zulkifli reminded police personnel to maintain politeness and professionalism when interacting with the public.

He emphasized the need for the Sibu police force to adopt a first-class work culture characterized by more complex and intellectual thinking.

By doing so, they can transform their way of working and further enhance their effectiveness in serving the community.
