Nazri Abdul Rahman, the Pakatan Harapan candidate for the Simpang Jeram by-election, has described his win on Saturday (Sept 9) as the result of the hard work and strong partnership between Pakatan and Barisan Nasional. According to him, this victory will dispel the stigma that their partnership was not accepted by voters in the constituency, especially Malays.
He further stated that this win should not be attributed solely to him but should be considered a win for the entire team, as it was the Pakatan-Barisan coalition that ran in this election. He expressed his gratitude to all the Pakatan and Barisan machineries and acknowledged that without their cooperation and hard work, his victory would not have been as significant. He made these remarks to reporters after the Election Commission announced his 3,514-majority win.
