PETALING JAYA: The East Coast Expressway (LPT) section leading to Karak has been closed due to the appearance of a sinkhole.
Bentong MP Young Syefura Othman took to Facebook to share the news, advising travelers between Kuala Lumpur and Karak to take an alternate route through Bentong.
According to Othman, the sinkhole has forced the closure of the road in both directions, and she urged everyone to stay safe and comply with the instructions of LPT management.
She also included pictures of the sinkhole, which were provided by the public.
Facebook users expressed their gratitude to Othman for the prompt information, which helped them with their travel plans.
