MELAKA: The police are trying to trace the whereabouts of a 21-year-old soldier who has reportedly gone missing since June.

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit said the parents of Muhammad Fakhrullah Nazri lodged a police report on June 24 when their son failed to report for duty but did not return home.

“The soldier was supposed to report to his base at Terendak Army Camp in Sungai Udang after completing his leave but has since gone missing.

“He left home riding a motorcycle with the registration number MBR 7230 at 8.10pm on June 24,” he said.

ACP Patit said the soldier has been working at the camp for the past two years.

“He is untraceable until today and was last seen wearing brown pants and sports shoes,” he added.

Anyone who has information on the missing person can contact the nearest police station or Sjn Mejar Zulkeple Berahim at 010-505 2368 or 06-351 1222.
