IN an attempt to get a girl who rejected him into trouble, a 27-year-old man named Prasanna from Thanjavur, India, sent a fake bomb threat to the IndiGo Airline office in Chennai, Malaysia Nanban reported.
The email, sent on June 16, falsely claimed there was a bomb on a flight to Mumbai.
Authorities thoroughly searched the plane and found no explosives.
The investigation revealed that Prasanna, an unemployed graduate, was apparently in love with a girl who did not share his affections. Hurt by her rejection, Prasanna sent the fake email in her name in an attempt to get her in trouble with the law.
Prasanna was arrested and is awaiting sentencing.
