KUALA LUMPUR: The Communications and Digital Ministry, in collaboration with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), plans to continue the installation of Starlink satellite broadband devices in areas with weak internet reception and connectivity.
Minister Fahmi Fadzil (pic) has expressed his delight through a Facebook post regarding the positive response from the residents of Kampung Langsat, Ranau, Sabah following the installation of the device.
“Alhamdulillah, I will engage in discussions with the MCMC to expand the installation of Starlink satellite devices to other locations as well,” he stated.
The MCMC has already installed the Starlink satellite broadband device at the Surau An-Nur in Kampung Langsat, which conveniently lies only 50 metres away from Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Langsat.
This installation is expected to benefit more than 500 residents living in the village. – Bernama
