KUALA LUMPUR: Caretaker Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has called on residents of Selangor to cast their votes early in order to avoid congestion at polling centers. He stated, “I call on all the people of Selangor to exercise their rights early due to the uncertain weather conditions anticipated (in the afternoon).” Amirudin, who is also the Pakatan Harapan candidate for the Sungai Tua seat, made these remarks after voting for the Sungai Templer state seat at SJKC Selayang Baru at approximately 8.45am on Saturday (Aug 12) together with his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad. In Selangor, a total of 138 candidates from different political parties are competing for 58 seats in the state’s elections. – Bernama
