PETALING JAYA: Kedah police chief Comm Datuk Fisol Salleh has clarified that the bus seen in a viral video was not carrying phantom voters as claimed, but was actually transporting police personnel from other states to assist during the state election in Kuala Muda, Kedah.
Comm Fisol urged the public to refrain from speculating on this matter, as it could potentially jeopardize public order.
In an unrelated incident, the police have also become aware of another circulating video on social media, in which a woman expresses her dissatisfaction with the Election Commission (EC) personnel for allegedly not marking her husband’s ballot paper as per his preference.
However, no police report has been lodged by either party involved, and Comm Fisol requested that anyone involved in the incident should come forward and file a report for further investigation.
In a separate case, the police are currently searching for an individual who allegedly took a photo of themselves at a voting stream. The photo depicts the person’s finger already stained with ink, and a marked ballot paper that they are displaying.
The police are making efforts to identify the person involved in this photo.
