RETURNING officer Dr Ani Ahmad announced that Kamri Kamaruddin, the candidate from the Pakatan Harapan coalition, has won the election for Selangor’s N19 Bukit Antarabangsa seat. The announcement was made at Dewan Dato Ahmad Razali in Ampang.
Kamri successfully retained the party’s hold on the seat with a total of 30,772 votes. Coming in second was Sasha Lyna from Perikatan Nasional’s Bersatu party, who received 14,492 votes. Melanie Ting from Muda obtained 1,462 votes. With a majority of 16,280, Kamri emerged as the clear winner.
Accompanied by his wife Suzana Shaharudin and other family members, Kamri expressed his gratitude to the voters for their support.
“After two weeks of campaigning, it is evident that Bukit Antabangsa remains a stronghold for Pakatan Harapan. The people in this area are open-minded and prioritize stability, as reflected in their voting patterns,” Kamri stated.
He further added, “As a state assemblyman, my focus will be on addressing urgent issues in Bukit Antarabangsa, given its environmentally-sensitive nature.”
