The remains have been sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital I’s forensics unit for a postmortem examination. In connection with the incident, the police are searching for a 20-year-old woman who had stayed at the establishment three days prior to the discovery of the body. ACP Mohd Zaidi stated that the investigation into the case is being conducted under Section 318 of the Penal Code, which deals with the concealment of birth through the secret disposal of a dead body. ACP Mohd Zaidi also appealed to anyone with information regarding the case to contact the investigating officer or the nearest police station.
