The police in Petaling Jaya have issued a warning against speculating on the death of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin. Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan emphasized that such speculation would hinder the investigation.
Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan emphasized that such speculation would harm the investigation. “Such comments not only create unrest among the public but would also affect the emotions of family members who are grieving the loss of a loved one,” he said in a statement on Friday (Dec 8).
He added, “The police also urge all to give us room to complete our investigation and in tracing down the suspect involved.”

The six-year-old autistic boy, Zayn Rayyan, was discovered deceased about 34 hours after he was reported missing. His body was found in a river near his home at Idaman Apartment in Damansara Damai at around 10pm on Wednesday (Dec 6).
Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain revealed at a press conference on Thursday night that a post-mortem showed the victim had injuries consistent with strangulation (compression to the neck) as well as other injuries believed to be defensive wounds.
He also stated that the post-mortem revealed the victim probably died within 48 hours from when the body was discovered.
