PARIT: In Perak, a total of 108 Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) candidates achieved a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) in their examination. This number is higher compared to the previous year’s 74 successful candidates, according to Mohamad Fauzi Mahson, the director of Perak Education Department.
Mohamad Fauzi Mahson revealed that in 2022, there were 3,421 candidates from 55 schools in Perak who took the STPM exams. Out of these, 30 schools achieved a 100% pass rate. These impressive results reflect the students’ hard work and dedication.
Among the schools, SMK Jalan Tasek in the Kinta district had the highest number of students who achieved a 4.0 CGPA, with 12 students performing exceptionally well. Following closely behind is SMK Mengelembu with 10 students and SMJK Sam Tet with seven students, which showcases the excellent academic performance of these schools.

Moreover, SMK Hua Lian in Larut Matang Selama district had six students who excelled with a 4.0 CGPA, while SMK King Edward III in the same district produced five outstanding students. These results demonstrate the outstanding academic performance of these schools as well.
