His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Johor has safely arrived in Kuala Lumpur to be sworn in as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong at Istana Negara on Wednesday (Jan 31).
The private plane carrying Sultan Ibrahim landed at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Air Base in Subang, near Kuala Lumpur, at around 9.40am.

Upon arrival, Sultan Ibrahim was welcomed by the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Tengku Laksamana Selangor Tengku Sulaiman Shah Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin accompanied His Majesty as minister-in-attendance.

Thousands of people gathered outside the RMAF air base to welcome Sultan Ibrahim, waving affectionately as the motorcade headed towards Istana Negara.
Earlier, the Regent of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah arrived at Istana Negara.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was also seen arriving at Istana Negara at about 9:30am. – Bernama
