MCA central committee member and lawyer Chan Quin Er has called for all political parties in Malaysia to unite in support of the Palestinian cause. In a Facebook post on Friday (Oct 27), she revealed that she and party president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong had met with Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia, Walid Abu Ali. Chan emphasized that the Israel-Palestine conflict is primarily a political struggle, not a religious one. She stressed the importance of standing for justice, humanity, and the protection of innocent lives.
Chan described her meeting with the Ambassador as enlightening and urged all political parties in Malaysia to join forces in backing the Palestinian cause. She emphasized the need to put aside partisan differences, engage in open dialogues, support diplomatic efforts, and be a leading voice for calm and reason on the global stage. Chan believes that collective action can bring about real change and supports the two-state solution as the best path towards long-lasting peace in the region.
Chan also called on everyone to denounce the war crimes committed by Israel during the ongoing conflict. She urged governments worldwide to unequivocally condemn these crimes and for the international community to send a strong message of solidarity against apartheid.
