    Surau stabbing: Cops nab suspect in Kajang

    PETALING JAYA: A 46-year-old local man has been detained in connection with the knife attack on two women, including a headmistress of a religious school in Kelana Jaya.

    Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulnizam Ja’afar said the suspect, in his 40s, was detained in Kajang at about 1.45am on Tuesday (Aug 13).

    “He will be brought to the Petaling Jaya Magistrate’s Court for the remand application.

    “We are investigating the case further,” he said when contacted on Tuesday.

    It was reported that two women, including a headmistress of a religious school in Kelana Jaya were hurt after they were stabbed by a man armed with a rambo knife.

    The incident occurred at a women’s toilet near the religious school at about 1.45pm on Aug 9.

    The two victims were a headmistress and a mobile phone shop seller.
