PETALING JAYA: Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (pic) has responded to criticisms from Nga Kor Ming and DAP by accusing them of hypocrisy and a lack of principles.
Syed Saddiq went further by describing DAP as a “lapdog” to Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who recently received a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA).
“Hypocritical. Power-crazy. No principles,” declared Syed Saddiq on X (formerly Twitter) on September 7.
Syed Saddiq pointed out that Nga, who is also the vice-chairman of DAP, had previously accused Ahmad Zahid of corruption.
“Nga also called former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob a ‘puppet’ of Ahmad Zahid,” Syed Saddiq added.
Following the DNAA granted to Ahmad Zahid, Syed Saddiq announced on September 5 that Muda would reassess its position in the unity government.
On September 7, Nga responded by advising Syed Saddiq to refrain from publicly expressing discontent since Muda is part of the unity government.
Last Monday, the High Court granted a DNAA to Ahmad Zahid for all 47 graft charges related to Yayasan Akalbudi funds.
