In Subang Jaya, Taylor’s University has achieved business accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB) through its Taylor’s Business School. This accreditation provides the university and its students with access to a wide network of over 1,900 member organizations globally and a network of businesses seeking top talent. AACSB has 1,013 accredited institutions in more than 60 countries and territories, with 194 institutions having AACSB accreditation for accounting programs.
Taylor’s Business School has distinguished itself as one of the five private universities in Malaysia to receive this accreditation, a prestigious recognition held by only 6% of business schools worldwide. “AACSB accreditation enhances our degrees, which are globally recognized for their excellence, solidifying Taylor’s Business School as an elite institution,” stated Taylor’s University Faculty of Business and Law executive dean Prof Dr Eddy Chong Siong Choy.
Prof Choy added, “Taylor’s Business School nurtures graduates who are ready for employment, thanks to a combination of knowledgeable faculty, industry-relevant curriculum, and immersive learning experiences. Our AACSB accreditation strengthens connections with the industry, providing students with internship opportunities, guest lectures, and networking events that offer practical insights for their professional journey.”
Obtaining AACSB accreditation is a rigorous process driven by a mission, which includes an extensive evaluation of internal processes, guidance from an AACSB advisor, and a peer-reviewed assessment focused on continuous improvement. Throughout this multiyear journey, schools work on creating and executing a plan to fulfill their mission and align with AACSB’s accreditation standards. These standards emphasize excellence in areas such as strategic management and innovation, research, and teaching and learning.
