A high school student in Form Five alleges that he suffered an eye injury after being struck by a teacher. In a video shared on social media, the teenager’s father, 47, claimed that his son experienced internal bleeding in his right eye as a result of the incident, which took place at a secondary school in Sungai Ara on September 14. The father expressed his disappointment with the teacher’s actions, which purportedly caused a serious injury to his son. In distress, he pondered on the possibility of his son going blind due to the incident. Reportedly, the student was caught using an e-cigarette during a class lesson at approximately 12:30 pm. Following the incident, the boy was initially taken to Balik Pulau Hospital before being transferred to Penang Hospital, where he is currently admitted and in stable condition. The parents of the student intend to file a police report and arrange a meeting with the school authorities to discuss the matter. Balik Pulau OCPD Supt Kamarul Rizal Jenal confirmed that the police have not yet received a report regarding the incident.
