According to Seri Alam OCPD Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak, a 17-year-old boy was abducted and assaulted in Kota Masai near Pasir Gudang on Friday (March 15).
The incident took place around 5pm and a video of the attack went viral the same day. Supt Mohd Sohaimi stated that based on the video footage, the victim was struck with a helmet and forced into the trunk of a car before being driven away from the scene.
Initial investigations by the police indicated that the victim was taken to a nearby house after being abducted.
The victim sustained injuries from being hit multiple times with a baton and various objects, resulting in bruising on his right cheek, neck, shoulders, back, and bleeding from his left ear.
Supt Mohd Sohaimi mentioned that three suspects, aged between 15 to 37, have been apprehended at different locations in Pasir Gudang.
One of the suspects has a criminal record with 26 past offenses, including drug-related charges. Additionally, the suspect tested positive for methamphetamine use.
The police are currently investigating the motive behind the abduction and assault while actively seeking other individuals involved in the incident.
