On Wednesday, a Thai woman was fined RM1,500 by the Magistrate’s Court in Kuala Lumpur for offering sex to a policeman. Magistrate Illi Marisqa Khalizan imposed the fine on Nipaporn Pharaphong, 24, who admitted to the charge and paid the fine.
She was accused of offering sex to the policeman for RM100 for a service in a hotel room on Jalan Imbi on Dec 14 at 10:30 pm. The charge falls under Section 372B of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of up to one year in prison, a fine, or both upon conviction.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Zuhairi Osman led the prosecution, while the accused was represented by lawyer Khairunnisa Azzahrah Ghazalie.
