KUALA LUMPUR: “Thank you Malaysia for all your support… The day will come where we will host you in Al Aqsa,” Palestinian ambassador to Malaysia Walid Abu Ali said while expressing his gratitude to Malaysia.
“We will pray there,” he said while addressing thousands of people who gathered at the Axiata Arena for the “Himpunan Malaysia Bersama Palestine” on Tuesday (Oct 24).

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to arrive at the rally at 9.30pm.
Walid said about two million Palestinians in Gaza are suffering from the lack of basic needs.
“We are looking for Malaysia to give us support and influence to help Palestinians, to enable them to send them humanitarian aid collected from all over the world.
“We wish there will be an end to the sufferings of the Palestinian people,” he added.
He said no one in Palestine can question the solidarity and support of Malaysians for his country.
“We are so proud to continue with your support, (for) our struggle, against the Zionist state of Israel,” he said.
He said Gaza has been under siege and Palestinians have been struggling for several years but there was inaction on the part of the international community, especially the Western world.
