AMPANG: Thousands of people have been left without power in several areas in Ampang Jaya and Klang following a power disruption Saturday (July 13).

This was first reported in several areas in Ampang Jaya at around noon, followed by Klang less than an hour later.

This was confirmed in a statement by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).

“There is power supply disruption at several areas around Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, due to issues at the Pandan Maju main incoming substation.

“Our technical team is on site to rectify the issue and restore power,” it said on the TMB CareLine Facebook page.

Lembah Jaya assemblyman Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman said on X (formerly known as Twitter) that there was a “tripping” issue at the Pandan TNB substation.

Areas that are affected include Pandan Indah, Pandan Perdana, Taman Bukit Indah among others.

Another statement by TNB shortly after stated that areas around Klang were similarly affected due to issues at the Kota Kemuning main incoming substation.
