KLUANG: Police have apprehended three male suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred at a budget hotel in Kluang.
According to Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh, the robbery took place on Tuesday morning (July 25) at a hotel located along Jalan Besar in Simpang Renggam.
After the incident, the police conducted four separate raids in Tanjung Kupang, Iskandar Puteri between 6.50pm and 11pm on the same day.
“As a result of the raids, we arrested three suspects, aged between 25 and 40 years. Further checks revealed that they have previous criminal records and two of them tested positive for drugs,” he stated on Wednesday (July 26).
Moreover, the police have confiscated several items from the suspects, including five mobile phones, a car, a parang, and two spanners.
ACP Bahrin also mentioned that the suspects will be held in remand until August 1 to assist with the investigation under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code.
