Three construction workers sustained injuries after falling from a 7m-tall scaffolding while carrying out building renovation work on Wednesday (Oct 18).
The incident took place at approximately 11am at the Industrial Centre in Sepanggar, near Kota Kinabalu.
Hamsa Isnuridini, assistant director of operations at the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department, stated that the identities of the three victims are currently unknown. Their employer transported them to the hospital.
“We received a call about the incident at 11.02am. When our team arrived, the victims were already en route to the hospital,” he mentioned in a statement on Wednesday.
Isnuridini further mentioned that the firemen ensured the elimination of any hazards at the scene.
As of now, the condition of the three injured workers remains uncertain.
The operations at the location concluded at 11.46am.
