In Manjoi near Ipoh, a landslip occurred at Kampung Dato Ahmad Said Tambahan Baru 1. Fortunately, two men and a 73-year-old woman managed to escape without injury on Tuesday (Nov 7) afternoon. Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad received a call about the incident at 4.34 pm. Firefighters from the Meru Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) and personnel from the Pasir Puteh BBP arrived at the scene about thirty minutes later.
“The landslip took place at the side of a house located on a hillside. Firefighters quickly took action to evacuate the individuals from the affected house,” Sabarodzi stated on Tuesday night. Additionally, the firemen worked to free a van that was trapped in the rubble. – Bernama
