Three people died and four others were injured in a collision involving three vehicles on KM50.1 Senai Desaru Expressway (SDE) heading towards Penawar in Kota Tinggi.
According to the operation commander of Penawar Fire and Rescue Department, Izwani Abd Hamid, they received an emergency call about the accident at 1.43pm on Saturday, September 2.
“In the first vehicle, three people died and one sustained serious injuries,” she stated in a press release.
The victims who lost their lives have been identified as Iqbal Faiz Mat Sah (20), Nurul Afrahrina Sazli (19), and Nurina Izzatir Kamarul Azman (19). Izznur Harith (19) is the individual who suffered serious injuries.
“Inside the second vehicle, an SUV, four people ranging in age from 29 to 51 sustained minor injuries, while the 50-year-old driver of the third car remained unharmed.
