IPOH: The Minister of Local Government Development, Nga Kor Ming, has announced that three locations in Perak have been identified for the construction of people’s housing projects (PPR).
The locations include Manjoi in the Tambun parliamentary constituency, Changkat Jong in Teluk Intan, and Kota Tampan in Lenggong.
The projects are expected to cost approximately RM308 million and will consist of a total of 1,200 units.
Nga stated that the Tambun PPR project will include a multi-storey building with 500 units.
In Lenggong, the PPR project will involve the development of 300 terrace houses, while Teluk Intan will have 400 terrace houses developed under Perbadanan Pr1ma Malaysia.
All of these projects will also include essential facilities such as a surau, hall, stalls, daycare, and landscaping.
Nga emphasized that the projects will commence as soon as the necessary approvals are obtained.
He expressed the urgency of starting the construction as soon as possible, with multi-storey buildings expected to be completed within 36 months and landed properties within 24 months.
