Three women, including an Indonesian national, narrowly avoided death after their car veered off the road and fell into a ravine at Jalan Pondok Upeh in Balik Pulau. The incident occurred on Sunday (Oct 1) at around 10am, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid into the 20 ft ravine. Fortunately, two of the victims were already rescued by joggers and hikers who happened to be in the area when the rescue team arrived. The remaining victim was subsequently rescued by the official rescue team.
The victims, all aged in their 20s and 30s, suffered minor injuries to their bodies and faces. They have been transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Several videos capturing the incident have since gone viral on social media platforms.
