The Johor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has detained three women on suspicion of accepting bribes. The individuals, aged between 23 and 43, were apprehended at the Johor MACC office on Sunday, October 22nd, at 9 PM. The arrests were made in collaboration with a company that provides electronic application services to the government, according to sources.
The suspects include two service officers from the Rangkaian Interaktif Elektronik Kerajaan (Rilek) Kota Tinggi branch and a clerk from a driving school. They are accused of receiving bribes from candidates taking the computerized examination as an incentive to pass the test.
The investigation is still ongoing, and additional arrests are expected in connection with the case, the sources stated. Director Datuk Azmi Alias of the Johor MACC confirmed the detentions.
