A fatal collision between a car and a pick-up truck in Semporna on Monday (Sept 11) resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy. Muhammad Raib Yusof was one of ten individuals involved in the accident along Jalan Semporna-Tawau near Sawit Kinabalu, according to the Fire and Rescue Department. In addition to the deceased, the car also transported two women and another boy, while the pick-up truck had six occupants comprising one man, one woman, three girls, and one boy.
Following a report received at 2.02 pm, the Semporna Fire and Rescue promptly dispatched their team to the scene of the incident. The medical officer present at the scene pronounced the three-year-old boy dead on site, after which his body was transferred to the police for further action. The remaining injured victims received initial medical treatment by the medical responders and were subsequently transported to the hospital for further care, stated the Department’s spokesperson.
