Four police reports have been made regarding tiger sightings in Batang Kali, Goh Tong Jaya, Serendah, and Kuala Kubu Baru. Hulu Selangor deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus stated that the police have informed the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) about the sightings to ensure the safety of residents in the affected areas. In a statement on Sunday (Sept 3), he explained that Perhilitan is currently investigating the sightings by setting up cameras to locate the tiger. He also urged the public to remain cautious while engaging in activities such as farming and hiking.
DSP Mohd Asri advised the public not to panic or be distressed by the sightings. He further encouraged individuals with information regarding the tiger or any related inquiries to come forward and assist the police.
