A tragic incident occurred in Butterworth, as a two-year-old boy lost his life in a fire that broke out at a flat in Taman Pantai Bersih on Sunday, July 9. The fire, which occurred in the early morning, caused significant damage to a room on the unit’s second floor.
The State Fire and Rescue Department received an alert around 8:30 a.m., prompting them to swiftly respond to the incident. Unfortunately, the young boy was unable to escape the room and succumbed to the fire.
Firefighters from the nearby Butterworth fire station were dispatched to the scene and successfully extinguished the fire. However, the cause of the fire is still unknown and remains under investigation.
