KUALA TERENGGANU: Tourism Terengganu has denied allegations of being involved in collecting rent for “Jom Heboh” stall lots. The director of Tourism Terengganu, Fadli Yusof, addressed this matter after claims on social media suggested that Tourism Terengganu had sold the lots and appointed an agent to collect rental deposits.
Fadli Yusof emphasized that these allegations are completely false. Tourism Terengganu is taking them seriously and urges those who have been tricked to report the issue to the police in order to prevent further deception of traders.
In a statement released on Sunday (Sept 3), Fadli Yusof stated, “This is absolutely untrue and we urge the affected traders or the public to immediately report to the police.”
Tourism Terengganu also advises the public to follow their official social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok, to obtain authentic information and stay updated.
It should be noted that the latest Jom Heboh event took place in Terengganu on October 7 and 8, 2022, at the Gong Badak Stadium compound in Kuala Nerus according to Bernama.
