PUTRAJAYA: The Transport Minister, Anthony Loke, has announced that a Request For Information (RFI) exercise is currently in progress to evaluate the feasibility of a public-private partnership (PPP) model for the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-Speed Rail (KL-S’pore HSR) project. He stated that the government is open to proposals from all companies, and the RFI is being conducted to gather detailed proposals on the implementation of the HSR project. Loke mentioned that a few companies have already expressed interest and approached the ministry. These companies can access reports and studies conducted by MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd (MyHSR Corp) upon purchase, with conditions of non-disclosure, and can subsequently submit their proposals through MyHSR Corp. Loke emphasized that this stage is solely focused on assessing the feasibility of the PPP model, and no awards have been announced yet. The evaluation and assessment of proposals will be carried out by professionals at MyHSR Corp. The RFI exercise is a significant step taken by the government to reactivate the KL-S’pore HSR project.
