PETALING JAYA: The National Felda Settlers Association (Anak) has urged Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to end their dispute for the benefit of the settlers and Felda.
Anak adviser Datuk Mazlan Aliman stated that the conflict between the Prime Minister and former Prime Minister is unproductive.
“As a Felda-based NGO involved in early discussions, we acknowledge Muhyiddin’s efforts,” said Mazlan in a statement on Friday.
“Anwar’s announcement as Finance Minister on June 27 followed by a special incentive on settlers day on July 7 provided relief, despite the government’s recent formation,” added Mazlan.
Mazlan emphasized the importance of setting aside differences and working together to restore Felda’s original purpose.
On Wednesday, Muhyiddin threatened legal action if Anwar did not apologize unconditionally within 24 hours.
Anwar, on the other hand, presented evidence during a press conference to support his claim that Felda settlers’ debts have been resolved.
