Thai police have arrested nine foreign nationals, including two Malaysians, for their involvement in a drug-fuelled party held at a luxury house in Bangkok’s Saphan Sung district. The raid was conducted on Friday afternoon (Aug 11) following complaints from local residents about loud music originating from the house, according to Pol Col Siwat Sriwichai, the chief of Bang Chan police.
The Bangkok Post reported that five Chinese nationals (three men and two women), one Vietnamese man, and a man from Myanmar were among those arrested. During the raid, the police discovered ketamine hidden in a fruit tray, along with 24 Erimin 5 (nimetazepam) tablets and a loaded pistol containing eight rounds of ammunition. These items were confiscated as evidence.
All the suspects have been charged with conspiring to possess Category 2 drugs, as well as possessing a weapon and ammunition. The arrests were made under the authority of Thai law enforcement agency, Bernama.
