U Mobile’s announcement of the expansion of its U Home Fibre home broadband to cater to high-rise buildings on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia has been made. The company has revealed that the U Home Fibre will be made available to over one million homes through a partnership with Time, utilizing its fibre infrastructure.
To mark this expansion, the company is launching a new U Home Fibre plan providing 300Mbps speed at the price of RM139 per month. In addition, U Mobile is revising the monthly subscription prices of existing plans, with the 100Mbps plan now being priced at RM99, down from the previous RM129. The 500Mbps plan will now cost RM159, decreased from RM199, while the 1Gbps plan will be offered at RM289, down from the previous RM299.
Moreover, the company is offering a RM20 rebate off monthly fees for all U Home Fibre broadband plans for a period of 24 months. This special offer is valid from now until March 31, 2024.
U Mobile had previously announced in November last year that it had signed a collaboration agreement with Time, as part of an effort to expand the reach of its fibre broadband service.
