Upgrades Planned for Tronoh State Constituency

The Tronoh state constituency in Perak is set to undergo several projects to improve facilities such as drainage systems, playgrounds, and markets. Allocations have also been made for schools and for the needy to receive food aid boxes on a rotational basis. Tronoh assemblyman Steven Tiw Tee Siang outlined both ongoing and upcoming plans for this Kinta Valley constituency which covers towns such as Batu Gajah, Pusing and Tronoh, as well as many villages.

Two main projects include the upgrading of a field and a playground in two new Chinese villages, Kampung Baru Bemban in Batu Gajah and Kampung Baru Bali in Tronoh. The field at Kampung Baru Bemban has overgrown grass, dilapidated concrete structures, and broken playground equipment. The plan is to convert the area into a recreational park, complete with an outdoor gym, jogging track, landscaping, and new playground equipment. The field has been abandoned for about five years and the children from the village have nowhere to play in the evenings.

At Kampung Baru Bali, the 10-year-old playground equipment set is rusty and broken, posing a danger to children. The cost to upgrade a new set of equipment, complete with a shelter and flooring, is approximately RM100,000, which has been allocated by the ministry. Works will be starting soon, and residents have been informed to keep their children away from the playground. A shelter will also be erected at the playground to prevent damage from the rain and sun.

Other projects include the construction of culverts and an improved drainage system at Kampung Baru Gunung Hijau in Pusing. Works are ongoing to address issues of flooding and deteriorating infrastructure. Additionally, plans are in place to install 300 red lanterns at the Tham Sen Chinese temple in Pusing during the next Chinese New Year, with the aim of attracting tourists.

Tronoh assemblyman Steven Tiw Tee Siang is committed to addressing various issues within the Tronoh state constituency. He has successfully resolved flash flooding issues along the main road of Jalan Seputeh, with no reports of flash floods after a recent clean-up. Tiw has also approved the installation of 10 wall fans at the ground floor of the Batu Gajah Plaza to provide relief from the heat for stall owners and customers.

Tiw is determined to continue working towards the development and improvement of the Tronoh state constituency. His vision for the first two years includes various infrastructure upgrades and the promotion of tourism. Tiw aims to transform the constituency into a more vibrant and aesthetically pleasing area for residents and visitors alike.
