KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi called on Malaysian Muslims to utilize the upcoming Ramadan to foster unity, repair relationships, and strengthen bonds of brotherhood.

Extending warm wishes to all Muslims in Malaysia as they embark on the blessed month of fasting starting on Tuesday (March 12), Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as the Rural and Regional Development Minister, emphasized the significance of Ramadan as a time of blessings and mercy, providing opportunities for spiritual growth and seeking forgiveness from Allah SWT.

“Ahlan wa sahlan (welcome)…Marhaban ya Ramadan (welcome oh Ramadan)… Let us greet Ramadan with sincerity, clarity of mind, and righteous actions. May this month bring prosperity, well-being, and forgiveness to all of us,” he posted on Facebook.

Marking the announcement made by the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, Muslims in Malaysia will commence fasting on Tuesday, as per tradition. – Bernama
