In Kota Belud town, two motorists engaged in a physical altercation after refusing to yield to each other in a narrow lane, causing a commotion that was captured on video and circulated on social media.
Superintendent Shahrudin Mat Husain, the OCPD chief of Kota Belud, confirmed that the viral video, lasting 42 seconds, showed two men using a parang and an iron rod to fight each other near Jalan Tamu Minggu on Friday morning.
The altercation arose when both men refused to give way while navigating the narrow road, leading to the confrontation.
The authorities are investigating the incident under Section 160 of the Penal Code, which prohibits fighting in public places.
