In Kampung Tetambah, Manir, a body of a man was discovered in a waterway by a group of villagers who were out looking for clams on Monday evening (Jan 15).
Syed Mohd Azmi Sikh Ismail, 39, who went on a fishing trip on Saturday (Jan 13), was found at approximately 4.45pm.
The victim’s younger sister, Syarah Sikh Ismail, 22, revealed that her brother, the eldest of seven siblings, had left home that evening and did not return.
She stated, “We didn’t suspect anything as he often goes fishing and comes home late at night or the following day.”
Kuala Terengganu OCPD Supt Wan Mohd Zaki Wan Ismail confirmed the incident and stated that the body had been sent to Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah for an autopsy. – Bernama
