Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced a recall for six of its car models.

The affected models, which were produced between 2010 and 2014, will undergo inspections as part of the recall, impacting approximately 6,671 cars.

The sixth generation Golf GTI, Eos, Passat CC, Polo, Beetle, and Vento are the models that will be subject to the recall due to a specific driver front airbag gas generator housing issue.

VCPM’s head of marketing and PR, Yani Fadzil, stated that owners can check if their vehicles are affected by visiting https://www.volkswagen.com.my/volkswagen-service/repair-and-service/service-action and entering their 17-digit VIN number located at the bottom left of the vehicle’s windscreen.
